  My experience was great. Everything was explained well in the initial visit and the installers were very respectful and thorough. After the necessary inspections and hookups ( the contractors were also terrific), we had an unexpected power outage when a nearby transformer blew. The generator kicked on as promised and the house stayed warm and I was even able to bake some bread. I am confident that if bad weather comes and we lose power, we will remain comfortable and safe. Thanks!

  No hesitate in giving Canter 5 Star Rating
  
  Living at the Outer Banks NC, I decided investing in a home generator was probably a sound investment. There were a number of local contractors to choose from but I decided to contract through Home Depot. Canter Power were their contractor of choice, and I soon realized why Home Depot trust their brand name with Canter. I was immediately impressed with the professional but friendly caring approach of Canter Power. They provided videos of the processes and activities that would be undertaken and worked with me as we faced both bad weather and some medical issues that caused the install to be rescheduled a number of times. Everyone from Canter who I engaged with, from Zach the Salesman, Jennifer their Project manager and Ted their contractor Electrician was outstanding and I cannot praise enough but recognize its a team effort and there are many back office staff who also contributed to the success of my install. Of particular note was Ted Hennigan their sub contractor electrician. Ted worked through some horrible January weather crawling under the house and completing the electrical work to a very high standard. It took Ted three days to complete the work throughout which he remained positive and smiling while the weather was anything but! The quality of his work is of the highest standard and I am thrilled with my investment thanks to Canter. The generator kicked in for the first time at approximately 2am maintaining power during a recent Nor-easterly storm and auto shutting off on restoration of utility power. I have no hesitation in recommending Canter and Home Depot if you are planning a home generator. I'm pleased with my investment and thrilled with the work of Canter. I attach photos so you can note the base stand Canter installed to mount the generator, I expected ground installation but this demonstrates what separates Canter from the competition.
